English phrasal verb practice with "move in" and "move out"

Maria and her family were getting ready for a big change. They were moving to a new city because Maria's mom got a new job. The family was excited but also a little nervous. They had to move out of their old house [vystěhovat se ze svého starého domu] by the end of the month. They would only have a few weeks to pack everything, then move in [nastěhovat se do nového].

The day to move out [vystěhovat se] finally came. Maria watched as movers put all the boxes into a large truck. Maria was sad to leave her friends, neighbors and her school, but she was also curious about her new home.

The drive to the new city took a few hours. When they arrived, Maria was eager to move in [nastěhovat se] and see their new house. It was bigger than their old one, with a bigger backyard and her own room. The movers unloaded their furniture and boxes, and Maria was excited about her own room.

The next day was move-in day [den stěhování]. Maria and her parents started unpacking and arranging furniture. Maria went to her new room. She moved in her books, toys, and posters [nastěhovala si do něj knihy, hračky a plakáty]. Each item made her room feel more like home.

While they were busy inside, their new neighbors came over to say hello. They brought cookies and offered to help. Maria was happy to meet friendly faces in the new neighborhood.

By the end of the day, the family had moved in [si nastěhovala] most of their things. They were tired but pleased to see how nice everything looked. They ordered pizza for dinner, sat in their new living room, and talked about their first day in the new city.

Maria's mom said, "It's going to take some time to get used to, but I think we'll be happy here." Maria agreed. She was starting to feel excited about exploring the city and making new friends.

The following weekend, Maria's parents had a housewarming party. Many neighbors came, and Maria even made a new friend who lived down the street. They laughed and played in Maria's new room, which she had proudly moved into [se s hrdostí nastěhovala] and arranged herself.

Moving out of their old home was hard, but Maria learned that moving is also an exciting adventure. Now, whenever she misses her friends, she remembers to call them and share new memories of her new home.
